How do we calculate the price of the holiday?

We offer base prices to stay in a tent or a Classic mobile home. Prices are for 2 adults and all children under 18 staying for 12 nights, and include a Dover - Calais midweek return ferry crossing. The first night on site will determine the base price you pay. Insurance is not included. Remember that, because we offer so much flexibility, you may need to add supplements
 - should you wish to stay in a Supernova, Grand or our new Villa range of mobile homes
 - for the campsite you have chosen to stay on
 - for travel arrangements other than a Dover - Calais crossing
 - for overnight stops en route
 - for additional adults
 - for additional services such as Soccer Station, bed linen hire or car hire



How do we book our holiday?

Once you have decided when and where you would like to travel, call our Customer Sales Representatives to check availability and to discuss your requirements or book online. They are available to take your call 7 days a week on 0870 7000 740, and will be happy to advise you through every step of booking your holiday.
Please have the following information to hand when you call or book on-line:
 - The full names of all members of your party as well as the address and telephone number of the party leader.
 - Your choice of holiday resort, holiday number and dates of your holiday.
 - Your preferred choice of accommodation
 - Your preferred choice of ferry, Motorail or fly drive options.
 - If taking a Channel crossing we will need details of vehicle make, model, height and  registration number.
 - If you are planning to take bicycles (rear mounted or on a roof rack), a roof box or a trailer, you must advise us at time of booking in order that we can book the correct space for your Channel crossing. Failure to do so may result in you incurring charges at the port or the Operator refusing carriage.
 - Details of any overnight stops.
 - Your choice of travel insurance. If you have alternative insurance cover please let us know the policy number and provider otherwise we will add our own Personal Insurance to your holiday booking.


Do we have to pay a deposit?

You only pay a low deposit of £25 per person. (An Additional £50 per person deposit is required if you add Motorail or flights with traditional full service airlines). If booking low cost flights the full cost is payable. We will hold your holiday option for five working days to allow you time to send in your deposit. Cheques should be made payable to Keycamp Holidays. Should you wish to confirm your booking by paying your deposit over the telephone with credit card, we can immediately confirm your ferry requirements.


 
Can we book accommodation next to friends we are travelling with?

We regret that we cannot guarantee special requests such as adjacent accommodation. You may request it at time of booking and we will notify our couriers on site. Our couriers will do their utmost to meet your request, depending on the way in which our accommodation is located on the campsite and the departure patterns of preceding customers. Adjacent accommodation is not available on all sites.

Do I need a passport to travel to Europe ?

Yes, if you’re a British citizen, you need a full, 10 year British passport for your holiday. For more information please visit www.passport.gov.uk or call the Passport Service Helpline on 0870 521 0410.

Do I need to advise you of my new car details and registration number? ?

No, unless the new vehicle is over 1.8m, you are travelling on motorail or you have purchased our vehicle breakdown insurance cover and your new vehicle is aged 10 years or over.

If I want to add/remove a roof box, bikes or a trailer to my booking, do I need to advise you?

Yes, if we have booked any travel arrangements for you as they need to be amended with the operator. Please don’t leave it too late to add to add these items as overheight and trailer space is limited.

I am going to have my own personal insurance so why have I got your insurance on my booking?

As part of our commitment to ensure that all customers have sufficient insurance cover, we add our cover until you provide us with alternative details. You must provide us with alternative details before our insurance cover starts, i.e. the date you pay for your holiday in full, or, in the case of flight inclusive bookings, from when you pay the premium.

When will I receive my Travel Pack?

New for 2008! We are changing how we dispatch this information to you. Please read the ‘Important Information’ on your Holiday Invoice for more details. Documents will normally be sent to you about 5 weeks prior to departure. Any gifts, including maps, if applicable to your booking, will be sent separately between 3-5 weeks before departure. Unfortunately, travel packs cannot be distributed if the holiday is booked within 14 days of departure. 

Are special requests guaranteed ?

No, whilst we are happy to make a note of your request they cannot be guaranteed.

Can you arrange wheelchair hire ?

Wheelchairs can be hired from local pharmacies for approximately 20 Euros per week. If requested at least 10 days before departure, we can try to order one however please note that this is not always possible.

Will I lose my deposit if I cancel my holiday ?

Yes, please refer to the Booking Conditions with your invoice, in the brochure or on the website for details.
